"A year from now you'll wish you had started today." –Unknown
One thing you can count on (besides death and taxes) is year-end advice... like this. The thing that's different here? This isn't a Top Ten or a checklist for the coming year. No, this is advice that never goes out of style. From weight loss to supply chains, the sooner you start a goal, the sooner you'll see results. Putting off improving your inventory management is like saying, "I'll start working out after the holidays." But if you start a goal today, you can see results – and reap returns – before you know it. What are your options?1. Add technology to your supply chain. Bring in inventory vending machines or RFID bins. Both let you control inventory and zero in on optimal stocking levels.
2. Bring in Lean experts. You'll love having a fresh set of eyes look at your processes and then suggesting improvements.
3. Have a supplier invest in YOU. Too often companies want things from you. Find a team that wants to be your partner and shows it by investing their own time, resources, and people to meet your goals.
The next twelve months are going to pass no matter what. Where you are when times up... well, that's your call to make.
