The pandemic changed how people view hygiene. To find out what organizations can do moving forward, we spoke with Dr. Stephanie Martin, a researcher at Kimberly-Clark Professional. She has worked at Kimberly Clark for 17 years, mostly in research and development roles and says that “weirdly hygiene is kind of a passion of mine.”
From breakrooms at work to locker rooms in schools, what can people do to keep areas clean and hygienic? Emphasize hand hygiene and provide high-quality materials like single-use paper towels. People can’t comply if there aren’t easy-to-use supplies. Having ample opportunities to use hand sanitizer is also a really good best practice. Pay attention to high-touch surfaces. Have a plan to disinfect them regularly and consider using a product like Scott 24-Hour Sanitizing wipes, which was designed with hot spots in mind and continues to kill 99.9% of bacteria for 24 hours after application.
