Building safety is critical for organizations to evaluate their emergency preparedness, safety policies and evaluate the overall state of their facility as it relates to the wellbeing of its employees. Environmental, Health and Safety Managers are busy coordinating and evaluating a variety of risks and working with safety committees and maintenance professionals to mitigate them. However, all the evaluations, meetings and action plans are lost without the right implementation tools.

While they ideally never occur, emergencies are something that all responsible organizations need to be prepared for. Determining the potential risks a facility could be subject to and how to handle those situations is an important part of the equation, but communicating the action plan to employees ahead of said potential emergency is a firm responsibility. Proper signage and pathways are critical to moving people to safe places.

Every step we take towards or away from work every day is riddled with potential safety concerns. EHS Managers and Safety teams align within the workplace to increase the odds of every employee leaving work for the day in the same condition as when they arrived. Communicating safety policies and making safety equipment like glasses, gloves and first aid kit stations easy for employees to use increases the probability of their proper use and safety success rate.

For a building to be safe, the structure, parking lot and contents of the facility must be in good condition for those in the building to be safe on a daily basis. Maintenance professionals need a well-stocked inventory of supplies to patch, hold, protect, maintain equipment and identify key access points. Cutting corners on maintenance supplies can lead to multiple instances of addressing the same issue.

When talking about safety program implementation you need the right tools to make sure all employees, not just the safety committee, understand the purpose of the program and are positioned to adhere to the desired policies.

Use these safety implementation tools to better your success rate
  • Bonding Tapes for Indoor and Outdoor Signage
  • 3M Dual Lock to Hang and Rotate Indoor Signage & Fire Extinguishers
  • Glow in the Dark Tapes to Identify Exits, Electrical Panels & Shelter Areas
  • Anti-Slip Tapes to Prevent Slips and Falls
  • PTFE Tapes for Conveyor Belt Maintenance
  • Cloth Tapes to Protect Sharp Corners
  • Gripping Materials to Add Traction to Tool Handles
  • Reflective Tape for Hazard Identification

Everyone wants, and deserves, to get home safe every day.  Implementation and communication of your safety plans warrant the use of the best supplies to communicate your plans and keep your facility running safety and efficiently.
