Fastenal’s Product Service Center was the result of a project that transformed a condemned building into a showcase of Fastenal’s manufacturing and industrial services. Now, the facility in Indianapolis is another example of how Fastenal works to improve services while creating economic opportunity in the communities they serve. Spanning 220,000 square feet on 25 acres, the location is only a half-mile from the company’s master distribution center. This makes it the perfect location to create items that can be shipped across North America. 
Hose fabrication As an authorized hose fabrication and service center, the team in Indy process any type, quantity, or length of hose you need. With a full offering of hose types, end fittings, and diameters, the hose fabrication division is ready to produce custom hose assemblies to your exact specifications. Sling fabrication, inspections, and re-certifications This state-of-the-art center is also home to a custom sling fabrication center. On average, each month they produce over 4,000 chain, wire rope, and synthetic slings, as well as various cable lanyards. The facility is also dedicated to inspections and re-certifications in compliance with OSHA and ASME standards and regulations. Weld-to-length bandsaw blades Over 6,000 custom-welded band saw blades move through the facility in an average month. Plus, they are able to weld and ship out a custom blade within a 24-hour period. Tool repair With the most brands serviced, Fastenal offers the most comprehensive tool repair capabilities in the industry. In an average month, the on-site team repairs 1,300 tools. From compressors to pneumatics, cable pullers to pipe threaders, technicians provide economical repairs that can save you 50% of the cost of new items. Custom packaging With fully automated equipment, the packaging facility can kit multiple parts into a single bag, efficiently and accurately. Fastenal uses precision scaling equipment, employs the highest QC standards in the industry, and packages more than a 1 million kits monthly.
